Rockstar's first foray into full CGI film making, a monster and a boy's garage... what could go wrong?
Our first CGI clip for Autodesk demonstrating the new Motion GFX toolkit and the creative advantages it can bring to the artist.
When given a brief of “Do whatever you like” it can be quite an adventure to nail down an idea and stick to it. After a while, we developed the idea of a monster made out of wires, living under an unassuming house, controlled by a series of audio equipment.
Made entirely in Maya, the pieces shows off the various features of the Motion GFX toolkit .. right down to being able to use the audio stems from our soundtrack to control all the sliders, buttons and drums. No keyframes here ..
The piece was such a success for Autodesk that we were invited to Siggraph in Los Angeles to present our work.
