We are seeking a senior Maya 3D Generalist to join and lead our expanding CG department in London.
Having worked with clients such as Madonna, Vivienne Westwood, Pixar, Milk VFX, TBWA, Mission, Autodesk and many others, it’s time for us to expand our team and
we are now looking to open a London studio and are seeking someone to join and be part of this exciting new phase at Rockstar.

The applicant must be an experienced and professional 3D Maya Artist / Head of 3D with over 5 years of production experience in the industry.
The applicant must have experience of all stages of a 3D production, from Storyboarding, Previs through to Modelling, Lighting, Shading and Compositing.
As our London studio is new, this applicant will also be involved developing, leading and creatively directing a small team of freelancers and other new in-house artists.

We are looking for individuals with a healthy disregard for constraints, who aren’t afraid to experiment with the new and up and coming. Come and work with a high calibre company and lead a motivated freelance and in-house team.

To be able to confidently lead 3D CGI projects throughout all stages of production.
To creatively direct our new in-house team of freelancers and artists as we grow our London studio.
To be proactive in seeking new technologies and rendering advancements and pushing yourself creatively.
Contribute to helping improve the workflow of the Rockstar production pipeline.
To be able to give and receive constructive and creative feedback across all art disciplines.
Recognise areas of opportunity and help others create beautiful moving imagery.
Able to travel to our main Norwich studio once a week / biweekly.

A very good knowledge of Autodesk Maya, across the board from Modelling, UVs, Lighting, Shading & Rendering ideally in Arnold and RenderMan.
To work with/lead a small team of freelancers and other full-time artists.
A keen interest in Motion GFX and such rendering styles.
Must have a creative nature with strong problem solving skills.
Must have the ability to multi-task and prioritize work appropriately demonstrates your efficiency without compromising on quality.
To be passionate about 3D and strive to keep up to date on all the latest trends, software and technology advancements.
A solid understanding of a CG production from concept through to delivery.
Experience with compositing in Nuke.  Understanding of Render Passes, colourspace & how to composite CG into live plates.
Education:  you either developed your art skills and strong portfolio through on-the-job/hobbyist experience, or through your degree.
Applicants must have the permanent right to work in the UK.

Knowledge of other 3D applications would be preferred, such as Houdini & Cinema 4D.
Strong technical background with the ability to work in an agile environment and grasp new programs and systems quickly.
